as far as i know, player may only bid as much pool as they have. but what about the owner of the auctioned vampire? can he bid twice as much pool as he has or is the discount simply applied after the bidding? i'd go for the latter variant but i'm not sure. thanks for any help. pallando

She can bid as much as she can afford. In this case, that means twice her pool supply. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Self-ousting is allowe by the rules of the game. (But bear in moind collusion and sports-man like conduct etc. There are situations where such could be highly advantageous for you, involving interesting uses of Life Boon etc.) -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "Definitely a woman" - www.thespark.com/ Standard disclaimers apply to this post. Life Boon does not prohibit you from self-ousting through other means, it is simply no longer useful if you oust yourself by *playing* Life Boon. I can imagine a situation in a tournament where one of the other players at the table has played a Life Boon on you; later another player uses a Hostile Takeover on one of your vampires. Since the player who played the Life Boon has a slightly lower tournament ranking (currently) than you, it might be in your interest to self-oust, thus making it less likely that the player in question will receive any victory points, thus preserving your standing. How's that? Xian

It's no more useful if you oust yourself by playing Life Boon than if you oust yourself by other means after playing it - Life Boon still provides no VP to you for your own ousting.
