My fellow Methuselahs and I have been trying to figure out the retainer rules for quite some time. When damage is dealt at short range, who chooses who takes the damage? We have been playing that the player with the retainer can put the damage on their retainer (like 1 pt on the wolf), instead of taking it themself. Is this correct? (Like the wolf acts as sort of a flak jacket). Help appreciated! Thanks... --Derek
