I'm thinking about a !Toreador-Setite deck and was wondering about the above combo. I know there was a thread a while back about Goth band not being able to take counters off [your] Dreams of the Sphinx and put them on your STI; but I can't see any reason why Goth band can't steal counters from someone else's STI and put them on my Grand Temple of Set. Am i right about this? Legbiter, trying to find ways to use all the crappy cards in his collection ..... -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum

Am i right about this? > Yep. This should function since GToS uses Counters. How 'bout this angle: You bring a Succubus Club into play (a must for Setites anyway ;) You trade a Dreams of the Sphinx to someone across the table. You use Goth Band on this DotS to put Counters on your OWN Short Term Investment or the Grand Tempel of Set (ieks. slow! Grand Temple costs 2 blood AND can be burned by a (d) action AND you must burn *more* counters than the capacity of some vamp of your prey -> crap anyway even with this combo) The Grand Temple of Set is a good example for a nice wallpaper card. Cute drawing, but restricted to the degree of total uselessness. Michael Beer

Am i right about this? Yes. From the errata/rulings lists: Goth Band [SAB] - ally (TorA) (2) * The counter moved to your master card by Goth Band is transformed into the type of counter normally used by the target master card. [RTR 970306] * Your Goth Band cannot move a counter from a card you control. [RTR 980707] -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
