Just a quick question about Helena's special ability: "If Helena is tapped and ready, she can burn a blood to be able to attempt to block and/or play reaction cards that require Auspex as if untapped for the remainder of the action." If she is tapped, can she burn a blood to play Fast Reaction: "Only usable after a combat between a blocking minion you control other than this vampire and the acting minion. Tap this vampire. This vampire now enters combat with the acting minion. The first round of this new combat, the acting minion cannot strike." Basically, I'm not sure if the text on Helena, "for the remainder of the action" allows you to play Fast Reaction.

Fast Reaction is a reaction card that requires Auspex. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In message <c25ded38.03012...@posting.google.com>, Orestes [ quoted text not captured ] Reaction cards can only be played when there is an action to react to. "Reaction cards: A ready untapped minion can play a reaction card in response to an action taken..." [1.6.3.5] Since Fast Reaction is playable it is, by that point, necessarily during an action. Since no new action has started, it is clearly still the previous (blocked) action when Fast Reaction is played. If you're worried about when reaction cards can be played, check the text for Rewind Time. It *specifically* gives itself an exception for when there isn't an action. Everything else has to go during an action - and even just before the very end of it, after combat, is still allowable. See also Cats' Guidance, which goes in a similar slot - just after combat, but still during the action. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 Hi! I'm Nancy Drew!
