I have the following question regarding Mask of 1000 Faces: I start a bleed with a vamp that owning a Laptop and sup. OBFUSCATE. That vamp plays sup. Faceless Night to leave the blocker tapped. Eventually the bleed is taken over by another vamp with inf. OBF. and no Laptop. Is the Laptop still in effect, i.e. does the new vamp still bleed for 2 ? Is the sup Faceless Night still in effect or is it changes to inf. ? There are certainly some more combinations that I haven't mentioned, e.g. a similar question arises once you play inf. Faceless Night and switch over to a sup OBFUSCATE vamp. Was it now sup. Faceless Night ? The laptop is not in effect since it is part of the minion who is no longer. The faceless night is still in effect since it is an action modifier and works until after the action is completed or prevented. >There are certainly some more combinations that I haven't mentioned, e.g. >a similar question arises once you play inf. Similarly the masking vampire may not have dominate but if the original one did and played say a conditioning that would still be in effect. Rory The Ref at refp...@best.com

What happens if the following situation: a vampire with +1 bleed attempts to bleed with a laptop and J.S. Simmons. (4 bleed in total) The player being bled plays Archon Investigation. Can Mask be played after AI has been played, or does AI immediately burn the vampire with 4 bleed with no chance of Mask being played?

I bleieve the answer will be that Mask cannot be played after AI but would like Tom to give us a ruling. If it was a reaction card then you could do it but as AI is an out of turn master I can see where it mightr take precedence. This would affect other cards as well such as Brujah Frenzy but it would be likely to only come up with an AI card since a S&B deck might have the Mask and others would be unlikely. Lets see if anyone else has a comment. [ quoted text not captured ]

There is no "response" (fast-effect stack) in VtES. Everything happens as the cards are played, except for actions which "happen" when the action resolves successfully (and as otherwise specified on card text, of course :-). -- L.
