[LSJ] Resilient Mind

Hey LSJ, How does Resilient Mind interact with Lunatic Eruption? Does the card still go in play? Is blood only burned once for the whole time the card remains in play? How does Resilient Mind vs. Vitae Block - does Vitae Block still go in play? How does Resilient Mind interact with Anesthetic Touch? Thanks! Ira

When lunatic erupion is played on the vampire with Resilient mind, he burns one blood and the effect of the card do not apply to him. (RM card text) No need to burn more blood. however the minion taking the action to burn the card on him still takes one damage. > How does Resilient Mind vs. Vitae Block - does Vitae Block still go > in play? vitae block is played, RM vampire burns one blood, he does not move the 2/3 blood to the card, which is put into play anyway. > How does Resilient Mind interact with Anesthetic Touch? this one is difficult. depending on what LSJ would say about anesthetic harming a vampire or not, he may or may not be immune to the damage from anesthetic touch... (i'd say he won't take the damage from the hand strike) But since the "end combat" and "first strike" do not affect the RM vampire directly, i'd say the still take place. which mean : i play vitae block (sup), you burn one blood. the card is put into play with no counters. i play anesthetic touch (sup), you burn one blood, i hit you for zero 'cause you are immune, then combat ends before you get a chance to hit back.

That's correct. The "combat ends" is not an effect on the RM vampire. Compare to dodging an Anesthetic Touch, for example (you dodge the damage, combat still ends). --Colin McGuigan
