Aggravated damage: Your vampire is without blood and is hit for 1 agg and you play UP - does your vampire burn? ..how 'bout normal damage + UP and 1 agg on second round.. or additional strikes on the first round after UP? When can it be played: Trap in effect, get enough damage to be sent to torpor, but play UP. Next round after strikes opponent presses to end combat - can I play UP to avoid going to torpor and get the press from it to continue? From old posts I got the idea that without trap (or other source of presses) you can't just play UP every round to continue combat.. If I have played both trap and UP and with no cards being played, is there some point during which I can play a new UP to continue combat? When? - Ron -

No. Agg damage will never burn a healthy vampire. > ..how 'bout normal damage + UP and 1 agg on second > round.. or additional strikes on the first round after UP? Yes. Agg damage done to a wounded vampire (as in "a vampire who has taken damage that he hasn't healed") will burn the vampire (unless he burns a blood to prevent his destruction). > When can it be played: > > Trap in effect, get enough damage to be sent to torpor, but play UP. > Next round after strikes opponent presses to end combat - can I play UP to > avoid going to torpor and get the press from it to continue? No, since you aren't "going into torpor", you can't prevent that (non-existent) effect. Former card text made this clearer ("Only usable when the vampire should go to torpor."). > From old posts I got the idea that without trap (or other source of > presses) you can't just play UP every round to continue combat.. With or without the Trap, correct. > If I have played both trap and UP and with no cards being played, is there > some point during which I can play a new UP to continue combat? When? No, since UP prevents you from going to torpor until after combat. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
