Hi to every one, cause I'm a novice of this game,I would know how i can control a vampire, because in the rules book say that there is a number in the right-upper corner, but there is nothing so I have thought that is the number in the red circle in the right-lower corner... Another question.. When I use some blood counters to control (using a verb of Magic: "Cast a vampire") a vampire, that blood point return to me or they are lost for ever... If someone is so kind to answer me, please answer in the newsgroup or answer to this address: t67...@tutor.uni-bocconi.it Thanking all in advance who answer me, i say to all my Goodbye Francesco

The blood pool spent on (transferred to) a vampire is kept by the vampire when it becomes controlled (is "cast"). The counters then represent that vampire's blood - which he can spend (burn) to play certain cards, to heal damage, etc. -- L. During the influence phase of your turn you may spend your four transfers to move blood from your pool onto an uncontrolled vampire in your inactive region (one blood per transfer), move blood from uncontrolled vampire to pool (one blood uses two transfers up), or spend one blood & all four transfers to bring a vampire from the crypt (vampire card draw pile) into the inactive region. At the end of this phase any vampires with blood counters equal to its capacity (the number in the red circle in the lower-right of a vampire card) is brought out face up into the controlled region with the blood on it. The blood is then used to pay for effects of certain minion cards. If a minion card or combat card has a white filled blood drop on the left border that blood is payed by the vampire, and the vampire can later hunt as an action to regain blood to pay for more effects. But I digress... I hope this is useful, and I hope you find this newsgroup of help, and enjoy the game. -eric -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- pheersum inhabits the mortal shell of eric schultheis. one channels mailto://phee...@netwizards.net. nature says,"go ahead, have as many babies as you want. something will eat them." ---------------------------------------------------------------------
