Question about "The Coven"

I'm afraid I don't really understand how part of this master works. It says "Gain a master phase action and put this card into play". Does this master phase is gained (a) only when the card is put in play by the Methuselah playing it. (b) for the whole game by the Methuselah playing it (which would be *very* powerful). (c) for the whole game by the Methuselah controlling it (as The Coven passes right each turn) I believe (a) is correct but just to make sure thx
