On my predator's turn, he sends in a minion to bleed me, which I block. During combat, I send him into torpor, and play an 'Armanath' card which lets me diablerise (sp?) the minion instead of letting it go to torpor. He calls for a Bloodhunt. Since it is on his turn, can I play reaction cards such as Surprise Influence (which lets me gain votes)? Can I cancel the Bloodhunt vote with a Delaying Tactics or Elder Kindred Network? If the vote ultimately fails, can I throw a Political Backlash and make him loose two pool? WHO gets to vote on a bloodhunt? I know that primogen, princes, and Justicars get their votes.. but what about Meth's? Can cards be thrown in to increase the vote count? Can this be intercepted in any way? A bloodhunt vote (after diablerie) is not an action, so action/reaction cards cannot be played to modify it in any way (regardless of whose turn it is). So, "No" to all of the above. > WHO gets to vote on a bloodhunt? I know that primogen, >princes, and Justicars get their votes.. but what about Meth's? No, the bloodhunt vote cannot be intercepted in any way, since it is not an action. > Joseph < mcev...@matrix.newpaltz.edu > -- L. No to all the above questions. Reaction cards may only be played on another's turn, but they may also be played only in response to actions. A bloodhunt vote is not an action, so no modifiers or reaction cards are permitted. > WHO gets to vote on a bloodhunt? So, "No" to all of the above. Peace Joseph & Scott, Also, note that Elder Kindred Network does NOT cancel politial actions. If a PA has EKN played on it and the vote passes the EKN has no effect, NOT the PA has no effect. I only mention as the way Joseph has his question phrased he may think that EKN can cancel a PA, which it cannot. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. In the rules,it is stated that no modifiers/reactions are permitted in a bloodhunt vote. Does this mean one can use retainer/ally/master/equipment cards or edge to get more votes? Laura

No modifiers or reactions (like Bewitching Oration or Dread Gaze), but other cards, like Ventrue Headquarters, are OK, as are political action cards (for the extra votes) and the Edge.
