sorry, i've just joined this newsgroup, & i've noticed lots of abbreviations (most of which i've managed to work out), & lots of references to different rulings, with the citing of what seem to me strange interpretations of rules. can someone please point me to where i can get hold of errata & rulings? tia ben

In article <F2BAF9.19z.0.sta...@dcs.ed.ac.uk>, [ quoted text not captured ] The first place to look is the Jyhad/VTES FAQ posted at: http://www.math.wisc.edu/~hamblin/faq.html and maintained by James Hamblin. There are links on this page to all the great repositories of knowledge available on the internet. Second you could try: http://www.wizards.com/VTES/Welcome.html as it has links to the official Errata, Rules, and Clarifications. Third you could try to click on the link at the bottom of any of LSJ's posts as he is the official Net-Rep for VTES and Rulemonger of good repute. And if none of those has exactly what you are looking for, the three most recent sets of Rules Team Rulings are archived at: http://members.tripod.com/~Lasombra Hope these help. Carpe Noctem. The references to Rules Team Rulings look like [RTR DD-MON-YY] and refer to posts made by the Rules Team (formerly known as the Design Team) to this group. If you require the actual text of an entry in one of these posts, I'd be happy to post it. If you require the full text of one (or all, if you've got excess disk space) of these posts, e-mail me and I'll mail you a copy. Other references tend to refer to Net.Rep statements that were made outside of the context of the Rules Team. These are cited as [INI DD-MON-YY] Where INI can be one of: LSJ - L. Scott Johnson (me), the current Net.Rep and Rules Authority. JON - John Wilkie aka Scalpel, the previous Net.Rep. SFC - Shawn F. Carnes, the previous Net.Rep. TOM - Thomas R. Wylie, the original Net.Rep. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
