Under the NRA rule, can a Renegade garou rush, be untapped via Rayzeel's song, and rush again ? JC

But it can Bum's Rush, Ambush or use a Haven etc.

[ quoted text not captured ] What about say, The Beast's rush, followed up by Mask of a Thousand Faces, untap rush again, mask ect? Ie: Beast rushes---Ox Mask's becoming the acting minion, Smash!! Beast Rushes----Cailean Mask's becoming the acting minion, catch! (sewer lid) Repeat until crispy. I think it's legal as the modifying Ox or Cailean are now the acting minion. However the Mask has a disclaimer in the text: Mask of a Thousand Faces [Jyhad, V:TES] Cardtype: Action Modifier Discipline: Obfuscate Only usable by a <ready,> untapped vampire other than the acting minion [who is capable of performing the action]. [obf] Untap the acting minion and tap this vampire instead. Now this vampire is the acting minion. The action resumes where it left off. [OBF] As above, with +1 stealth Ox and Cailean don't have the built in rush abillity. Does the text prevent this abusive combo? [who is capable of performing the action]. Pc.

Exactly. Ox and Cailean don't have the ability and are incapable of Masking it over. Sorry. Halcyan 2

I wish Lsj would reply to this so that I might send it to the guys who swore up and down that this was possible....Grrrr.

"Sacha" said: [ quoted text not captured ] He already has. Mask cannot be used to mask an action if the Masking vampire is not capable of taking that action, nor if any action modifiers have been played on this action that could not have been played if the Masking vampire were the acting minion. (Not counting blood that has already been spent.) [RTR 19980623] http://groups.google.com/groups?q=msgid%3a358FE...@wizards.com http://www.thelasombra.com/rules/RTR6-23.htm Carpe noctem. There's was also a thread on a similar ruling, Hannibal not being able to take over Francois' steal 2 blood ability ( and vice versa ). Even though they can both steal 2 blood as an action, only Francois can do his built-in action so no-one can Mo1KF that action. LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] In general, I do not feel the need to reply when a question is answered so quickly (correctly) with no dissenting opinions/squabbles arising. If you "wish LSJ would reply" to a given question, include "LSJ" in the subject line (then I'll ditto the correct post if it has already been answered by the time I read the question). Halcyan is correct. See the references cited by Lasombra, or see the online card text for Mask. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
