Vampires lose blood when hit in Jyhad, but the book explains it by saying that the vampire instantly expends the blood he needs to heal the wound. Steal blood just makes the blood dissapear, thus there is no damage, and it cannot be prevented by fortitude cards. Also, you cannot steal more blood than the vampire has on him/her/it and you also cannot send a vampire in torpor using a Strike: Steal Blood card. -Paul-Andre
