What happens if someone gets a clan-specific card played on them, and then clan impersonates another clan? For example, what happens if Igo the Hungry Impersonates a Gangrel, and is then voted Gangrel Justicar, but then he burns Clan Impersonation as an action. He is now a Caitiff Gangrel Justicar. Then Yong-Sun, Harmonist, tells Igo "Hey kid, I'm your sire", using Revelation of the Sire. He's now a Nosferatu-ANTITRIBU. And the Gangrel Justicar. Then, for fun, he decides he doesn't like the title of Justicar, so puts a bunch of master discipline cards on himself (1 Protean, 1 Presence, 2 Chimerstries, 1 Thaumaturgy, 1 Serpentis, and 1 Obtenebration), and is voted Sabbat Cardinal using Cardinal Benediction. Then he's declared a pretty boy using Unacceptable Appearance, so he's a Pander now. He then finds a writ of acceptance, is voted in as Prince of Geneva, and then Clan Impersonates a Gangrel (AGAIN... No really, I'm a Gangrel. Really. I mean it.), and then Mehemet blows up the Serpentis card. Poor fool. So, what is he, what's his blood capacity, and how soon will someone Bums Rush him with Samantha and put him out of his misery? Other questions: 1) When he burned Clan Impersonation and became a Caitiff, did he stay Gangrel Justicar? 2) When he became a Nosferatu-ANTITRIBU, did he become Sabbat? 3) If Mehemet would have come out earlier, and blew up the Chimerstries, Thaumaturgy, and Protean cards after he was voted Cardinal, would he lose his Cardinality? 4) Why didn't anyone Golconda his sorry butt a long time ago? By the way: 1) Is Caitiff a clan? 2) Is Pander a clan? 3) Are Caitiff considered Camarilla? (In the Sabbat rules sheet it says the Camarilla is "the vampires of the seven accepted bloodlines") 4) THEREFORE, could Igo have skipped all the pain and misery he caused and just become Prince of Geneva to start with? That's enough for now. I think. Or not.

Don't think about it. From a story standpoint, Justicars are only elected every ten (?) years, so when Igo comes clean with his "Sorry I lied to y'all, nyeah nyeah nyeah!" speech, he's still Gangrel Justicar until he abdicates, or the next meeting of the IC ejects his sorry ass (which could be in a long time). > 2) When he became a Nosferatu-ANTITRIBU, did he become Sabbat? > The Antritribu clans are Sabbat. However, there is no clear card text to say that it does. It probably will end up turning you Sabbat, but until we get word from Jon, it won't. > 3) If Mehemet would have come out earlier, and blew up the Chimerstries, > Thaumaturgy, and Protean cards after he was voted Cardinal, would he > lose his Cardinality? > No. > 4) Why didn't anyone Golconda his sorry butt a long time ago? > Hand jam. > By the way: > > 1) Is Caitiff a clan? > No. > 2) Is Pander a clan? > Yes. > 3) Are Caitiff considered Camarilla? Although, he gets more votes as a Cardinal or Justicar, so I'm not real clear on why he'd care. > That's enough for now. > That's a relief. > I think. > No you don't. > Or not. That's better. I mean, isn't Pander the Sabbat equivalent of the Caitiff (therefore no-one is able to clan-impersonate a Caitiff as well as a Pander)? I know the story of Joseph Pander and all, but (for those who do not know) they are not a clan in the proper sense (they can be created by other clans other than Panders). Of course, this is a RPG-based opinion, but since the Caitiff are the way they are, why aren't Pander the same for the Sabbat? > >3) Are Caitiff considered Camarilla? [...] The Sabbat Rules Sheet is pretty explicit in defining the distinction, and in classifying Pander as a clan. The WoD backstory is not relevant, since the rules are so explicit. > > >3) Are Caitiff considered Camarilla? I don't understand the problem with the answer. > > >4) THEREFORE, could Igo have skipped all the pain and misery he caused > > >and just become Prince of Geneva to start with? > > Yes. No. The title (Glasgow) increases his capacity when he is Gangrel. If he ceases to be Gangrel, he ceases to receive the increace to capacity. If he becomes Gangrel, he gains the increase.
