Greets, A few more questions that have come up: Can the Hawg be used as a press just once per player turn, once per combat, or once per round of combat? If it can be used just once per turn, and you get Bum's Rush'ed twice, do you get to use the effects of the Hawg press only once? For Sabbat Threat, can you place a threat counter on a single Methuselah? The text states "some or all", and a bit of a debate sprang up regarding the "some" portion of the card text implying plural, meaning more than one. I am of the camp that feels it can be placed on 1 or more Meths, but I want to make sure. When dodging, does the dodge apply to all retainers on the dodging minion as well? Can you play another dodge card to make a retainer dodge a ranged strike directed at it, or are your retainers fully and completely vulnerable when an opponent is using ranged strikes? Does the dodge apply to all equipment on the minion (e.g. using destroy equipment cards)? Cheers, Jason

Greets, Well, after many late nights of playing this game with friends, I have yet a few more questions: If I play 2 short term investments over the course of 2 turns, on my 3rd turn, can I take blood from each short term investment as my master action, or can I only take from a single short term investment? Can Inner Circle members play cards that state only Princes or Justicars can play (like Fifth Traditions?) For aggravated damage, if I have a minion with 1 blood on it, can I safely take 2 aggravated damage without being burnt? If I have no blood on my minion, then I can't take any aggravated damage without being burnt, correct? Cheers, Jason

No. Each removal of blood requires a master phase action. > Can Inner Circle members play cards that state only Princes or > Justicars can play (like Fifth Traditions?) No. They can no more play those cards than Primogen can. However, please note that the Bloodhunt card, per errata, can not be played on Inner Circle Members. > For aggravated damage, if I have a minion with 1 blood on it, can I > safely take 2 aggravated damage without being burnt? Yes. The first point of agg damage sends the vampire to torpor since it cannot spend blood to heal it. Additional aggravated damage requires the vampire to spend blood on a one-for-one basis to avoid being burned. In this case, the end result would be a vampire in torpor with no blood. > If I have no blood on my minion, then I can't take any aggravated > damage without being burnt, correct? Unless the vampire was on its way to, or already in, torpor, No. Since aggravated damage cannot be healed by spending blood, a single point of agg damage, by itself, will send a vampire to torpor with no loss in blood. If the vampire was already on its way to, or in, torpor by any effect (such as more normal damage than the vampire has blood to heal, a point of aggravated damage, Coma, Entombment, Rotschreck, Day Operation, etc.) the vampire must spend a blood for each point of aggravated damage that it receives to avoid being burned. Greets, If I play a WWEF as a reaction, and then play a superior Deflection, does the vampire stay untapped (as per Deflection text)? If an enemy tries to bleed me, can I only play reactions to the action, or can I play reactions after any action modifiers have been played? For example, I have a vamp with DOM, and my opponent bleeds me with Arika (+2 bleed); she does this with a Govern the Unaligned (+2 bleed). At this point, can I wait to play a Deflection to see if Arika plays Conditioning? If she does not play Conditioning (or any other booster), can I still deflect after she states that she is no longer modifying the action? Essentially, what I want to know is when EXACTLY it is legal to play reactions, taking into account action modifiers by acting minions. I would like to play my deflection after my predator beefs up the bleed to ghastly levels, but I want to make sure it is legal. Cheers, Jason

No. The vampire is simply "not tapped" by Deflection. Deflection does not untap the vampire - it simply doesn't tap them. And the vampire was never untapped, because Wake simply pretends to be untapped. >If an enemy tries to bleed me, can I only play reactions to the action, or >can I play reactions after any action modifiers have been played? You can play reaction cards at any point in the action when your opponent says "I'm done playing cards". At every point of playing cards, the acting Methuselah gets a chance to play another, and then you do when he finishes - unless you find a gap in between two gaps where you card can be played. >For >example, I have a vamp with DOM, and my opponent bleeds me with Arika (+2 >bleed); she does this with a Govern the Unaligned (+2 bleed). At this >point, can I wait to play a Deflection to see if Arika plays Conditioning? YEes. >If she does not play Conditioning (or any other booster), can I still >deflect after she states that she is no longer modifying the action? Yes, you can. >Essentially, what I want to know is when EXACTLY it is legal to play >reactions, taking into account action modifiers by acting minions. It is legal to play them at any point during the action. However, blocking is a different matter. At some point, your predator (or whoever is acting) can say "Are you blocking?" When you say "No", that's it. So if they play GtA and ask if you're blocking, you can't wait and see if they play Conditioning. It's either say "Yes" then or not at all. >I would >like to play my deflection after my predator beefs up the bleed to ghastly >levels, but I want to make sure it is legal. Perfectly legal. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D | ja...@zephyr.org.uk (New e-mail) "Who'd have ever predicted the moment would come when I find myself grateful they've kept women dumb? If this post already made it through, I apologize for the double post. We're playing Jyhad now, and will be for the next 10 hours, and have a couple questions: 1. If someone plays a trap and someone plays an earth meld, does combat end immediately, or does it continue for the 3 rounds ? [ quoted text not captured ]

It ends 'immediately' when the strike resolves - just before the rest of Strike Resolution. [ quoted text not captured ]

A couple of questions: Mass reality says 'a minion' - does this mean one, specific minion I must choose when I play the card, or just any minion I control? Can I play several increased strenght at the start of a turn for several +2 bonuses? Or is this covered by some more general rule? Is there an exact definition of a 'hand strike' (as per immortal grapple)? Thanks a lot and happy hunting Kristian [ quoted text not captured ]

Each (and every) weapon that is possessed by a minion you control gets the bonus. > Can I play several increased strenght at the start of a turn for > several +2 bonuses? Yes. > Is there an exact definition of a 'hand strike' (as per immortal > grapple)? Combat * Hand Strike: any non-ranged, non-weapon strike that deals damage based on the striking minion's hand damage, or any minion's non-ranged damage-dealing innate strike. Correct. Striking with a weapon is not striking with your hands, and you may only do hand strikes when an Immortal Grapple is played. Carpe Noctem.
