Three quick Fortitude questions to anyone who might know (or to LSJ):
1) Can multiple copies of the same damage prevention card be used to prevent damage from one
strike?
Example: Someone with +1 hand damage and superior Torn Sign Post attacks me for 4 points of hand
damage. My vampire has superior Fortitude. Can I use two Skin of Rocks to prevent all 4 points
of damage, or is damage prevention like stealth and intercetp, no more than one type of card per
action?
2) Someone told me you could use Fortitude damage prevention combat cards to prevent damage
outside of combat. Is this true? Does that mean I can prevent the damage from a Cryptic Mission?
and if this is the case...
3) Can I use Skin of Night to make the damage from Force of Will normal instead of aggravated? (I
know damage from Force of Will can not be prevented)

Yes.

You can use two.
The restriction you mention only applies to Reaction cards and Action
Modifiers, not to combat cards.

No, this is not true. Combat cards can only be used in combat.

No, combat cards can only be used in combat.

G'day Eugene :)

Yes, indeed they can. Just like you can use as many flash cards as you
need maneuvers. Not like reaction/action mods. where you can only use 1
per action.

Not entirely true. You can prevent damage from a superior version of
rutor's hand, but thats about it. I believe Cryptic Mission says that
the damage cannot be prevented. But the point is that Rutors hand
specifically allows you the prevent option which none of the other
action-self-damaging cards do.

No. Only Rutors hand again. Although having a heart of darkness would
allow it, because it doesnt say only during combat. (thats quite a nasty
trick along with Daring the Dawn) (cackles insanely)
Sorry to be a downer.
