Simple question about Body of Sun for normal (non-superior) level. It states that all vampires at close range receive 3 aggravated damage and all that are far receive 1 aggravated damage. I assume the acting vampire takes damage also as the superior level states that the acting vampire is not affected. So at normal level, does this mean the acting vampire will burn 4 blood to use the card then will take 3 aggravated damage for using it - in essence losing 7 blood with aggravated damage to boot. Thanks in advance for anyone's reply. Feel free to post your reply or use your reply to author function to respond to me personally. Al

Correct, if at close range. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. (*) - Subject to review by Rules Team

Yes. However, if he has Fortitude, tho, he can prevent the damage to himself using Prevent Damage cards. However, the damage that Body of Sun does to himself IS NOT considered to be from a strike (the only damage ever considered to be from a strike is damage that your opponent does to you with a strike in combat or something which explicitly states it (nothing so far)) so you can't Skin of Steel it but you could, say, Skin of Rock it, several times. But, in essence, the card "costs" 7 blood, but you can make it cheaper using damage prevention. -- James Coupe (change "nospam" to "obeah" to reply by e-mail) You were my strength when I was weak.
