Hello All, What all with the questions on Damage Prevention on the newsgroup, some questions were came up at one of our weekly gaming nights. 1. A Sideslip was played to prevent a strike from a Gangrel's Claw of the Dead strike. Another player disagreed on the damage prevention of the aggravated damage. So the question is, what type of damage does damage prevention cards prevent? (Besides the ones that contain text stating "Non-aggravated") 2. In a situation where you are receiving both types of damage from two different sources in a combat (i.e. Carrion Crows at superior and Lucky Blow with Claws of the Dead) and you are holding 1 Skin of Rock (playable at superior), do you have the capability to decide which damage you can prevent? 3. In a situation where you have a Master card or piece of equipment that prevents damage (i.e. Guardian Angel or Talbot's Chainsaw) and you receive both types of damage from two different sources, do you have the capability to decide which damage you can prevent? 4. Carrying over from Question 3 when you possess one of the Master cards or pieces of equipment that prevents damage, if you are on the receiving end of multiple strikes in a round of combat can you decide to hold the damage prevention in the first round with the expectation of preventing an aggravated strike in a later strike or do you have to prevent the damage in the first round? Except that skin of rock is fortitude, and a number of cards state "can't be prevented by fortitude." =) >4. But, if no further damage is done, you can't back up and prevent that first point after the fact. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
