Hullo,
Here's today's situation :
A has a Perfectionist and he successfully performs an action with no
reaction card being played.
At the end of the action, he would gain 1 blood from Perfectionist.
Well, someone, here, says that he's about to gain 1 blood from
Perfectionist, and wants to play Final Loosening at auspex.
What happens next ?
a) A gains 1 blood per Final Loosening's cardtext, and the reacting
anarch gains 1 blood.
b) A gains 0 blood, and the reacting anarch gains 0 blood, because the
"instead" of FL is "instead of A gaining 1 or more blood", which is no
longer correct, since FL has been played (and hence Perfectionist
can't give 1 blood).
I suppose answer a) is correct, since you can't have Perfectionist
check twice if any reaction card has been played, but I'm not totally
sure.
Thanks
Final Loosening
Cardtype: Reaction
Discipline: Auspex/Dementation/Fortitude
Requires an anarch.
[aus] Play when the acting vampire would gain 1 or more blood. The
acting vampire and this reacting anarch each gain 1 blood instead.
Perfectionist
Cardtype: Master
Master: archetype.
Put this card on a vampire you control. Once per turn, when this
vampire sucessfully performs an action and no reaction cards are
played, he or she gains 1 blood after the action is resolved. A
vampire can have only one archetype.

Can't play Final Loosening at all. Perfectionist has "after the action
is resolved". At that point it is too late to play reaction cards (or
action modifiers, unless they have text to explicitly insert them in
there, I think....such as Freak Drive).
