Just say I have a vampire with superior Auspex, superior Fortitude, and a Sabbat Priest political card on him. He performs a bleed action, and one of my prey's (younger) vampires attempts to block. I have a Crocodile's Tongue and a Kiss of Ra in my hand. What order to 'attempts to block' effects happen in? How wide is the window to play them, i.e. can I play multiple cards one after another, each resolving separately, or do I have to play all 'when a minion attempts to block' at the same time that the block attempt happens? In my example, I'm guessing that first of all the blocking minion burns a blood from the Sabbat Priest card, because it's already in play. Then I can play the Crocodile Tongue; the minion still wants to block so burns two blood to cancel the card. Can I then play Kiss of Ra to burn another two blood off him and send him to torpor? Or do I have to play the Croc Tongue and the Kiss of Ra together? In that case, the vampire would obviously choose not to cancel the Croc Tongue since he's going to torpor from the Kiss anyway.

You may play Crocodile's Tongue. If the blocking minion doesn't burn the blood, then the block would be canceled, and you'd have to wait for another minion (controlled by another Methuselah in this case, by card text on CT) to attempt to block before you could play Kiss of Ra. If he burns the blood to continue blocking, then you could play Kiss of Ra. You may plya Kiss of Ra first, but then the action would be ended and you wouldn't be able to play Crocodile's Tongue. > In my example, I'm guessing that first of all the blocking minion > burns a blood from the Sabbat Priest card, because it's already in > play. In that No cards are played together unless card text says so (Concealed Weapon and a weapon, for example), and even then the first one must resolve in order to "pull play" the second one. > case, the vampire would obviously choose not to cancel the Croc Tongue > since he's going to torpor from the Kiss anyway. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
