Compel the Spirit question

This came up in a game last night. The Order of Hermes Cabal bleeds, and is blocked and killed. Someone uses Compel the Spirit at superior to bring the Order back. 1) Can the Order take an action this turn? Compel the Spirit is different from recruiting, and should be similar to Possession. 2) If the answer to #1 is yes, can the Order bleed, without violating the no repeat actions rule? Based on LSJ's puzzle dealing with Possession and the same vampire bleeding for 2 twice, I'd say that the answers to both questions are yes. Is there an official ruling here? Brian

Compel the Spirit brings the Ally from the Ash Heap to the controlled region untapped, and is free to take an action (there is no "summoning sickness" in VtES). > 2) If the answer to #1 is yes, can the Order bleed, without violating > the no repeat actions rule? Yes. Minions brought into play from the Ash Heap (or Hand) are as pure as they day they were born. They retain nothing from any previous "life" they may have had in the controlled region. (Card text excluded, of course). This includes forgetting any actions they may have taken in that previous life. > Based on LSJ's puzzle dealing with Possession and the same vampire bleeding > for 2 twice, I'd say that the answers to both questions are yes. Exactly what that puzzle was designed to illustrate. > Is there an official ruling here? Yes. :-) -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
