We had a situation come up in a recent game that needs a bit of overt explanation: "Target Hand: Aim. Play when choosing a strike. The opposing minion may discard two combat cards [COMBAT] to cancel this card. If any damage from this strike is successfully inflicted on the opposing minion, he or she gets -1 strength this action, and you may destroy a weapon he or she has. A minion may play only one aim each strike." Does the -1 strength from Target Hand apply to the *currently resolving* strike resolution? For example: I do a basic Strength 1 hand strike with Target Hand vs an opposing vampire using a basic Strength 1 hand strike. Does my opponent deal 1 or 0 damage to my vampire *this* round? All the other Target cards reference future stages of combat or the game, but only Target Had could potentially reference the current stage of the combat. Thanks! Shidara

[ quoted text not captured ] No. > Only if you do it with first strike. It still wouldn't apply to any currently-resolving strike (like the opposing minion's strike dealt with first strike). It does apply to futurely-resolving strikes, of course. So if A plays Target Hand on a strike resolving with first strike and B chooses a default (non-first strike) hand strike, and A's strike successfully inflicts damage on B, then the Target Hand will reduce the damage inflicted by B's hand strike. (Example restored): >> I do a basic Strength 1 hand strike with Target Hand vs an opposing >> vampire using a basic Strength 1 hand strike. Does my opponent deal 1 >> or 0 damage to my vampire *this* round? 1 damage.

[ quoted text not captured ] It will also reduce their strength for any additional strikes they take during the round by corrollary.
