ISTR that cards that affect reactions also affect reaction-type effects, such as imbued reaction-type powers Linky using Blind Spot as the example - http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/browse_thread/thread/4c9da4b6dff5b639/a0522bc8e7b41cd7?lnk=gst&q=blind+spot+vs+imbued#a0522bc8e7b41cd7 Will Approximation of Loyalty follow the same template? Approximation of Loyalty Action Modifier Presence, cost 1 blood Requires a vampire with capacity 7 or more. pre: Only usable as the action is announced. Choose a vampire with capacity 6 or less or an ally. That minion cannot block this action. PRE: Cancel a reaction card played by a vampire with capacity 6 or less or an ally as it is played (no cost is paid). No more action modifiers can be played on this action. It seems clear to me that convictions already on an imbued will be immune to either blind spot or approximation, since they're not being played, they're being burned. Can you confirm I can use approximation of loyalty to cancel an imbued reaction-type power? thanks B

And because they have nothing to do with "Reaction". > Can you confirm I can use approximation of loyalty to cancel an imbued > reaction-type power? Approximation of Loyalty cannot cancel something that's not a card being played (such as an in-play Power's reaction-type effect). Card text.

Imbued are allowed to use powers with a cardtype symbol (such as reaction) when and only when they are allowed to use cards of that type. Since Blind Spot denies the imbued the ability to play reaction cards, it also denies them the ability to use reaction powers. > Will Approximation of Loyalty follow the same template? > > Approximation of Loyalty > Action Modifier > Presence, cost 1 blood > Requires a vampire with capacity 7 or more. > pre: Only usable as the action is announced. No, because reaction-type powers are not reaction cards. They're just usable when and only when reaction cards would be playable by that minion. -witness1
