Hi folks! There is a conflictual situation that arise in our group of players every time some Vamp with protean plays a Wolf Claws (or a Claws of the Dead, or a Bone Spur): when is it legal to play one of these cards? So, let's take an example. Chandler Hungerford enters combat with Lupo. Chandler strikes first. He hits hard, a Lucky Blow. Lupo strikes with his Undead Strenght. And we go to damage resolution... So Chandler's strike does 2 damage, Lupo's does 2 damage. In order to get his damage aggravated, when does Chandler would have to play his Wolf Claws. Thanks in advance... Jean-Francois Caron

You may play Wolf Claws (or Claws of the Dead, etc.) to make your hand damage aggravated any time before that strike resolves. So you can play it at the beginning of a round, as you declare the strike, or between the declaration of (both) strikes and the resolution of those strikes. In other words, you can wait to see what your opponent plays for her strike before deciding whether to play Wolf Claws." I never knew where to play them, and in my group we decided to declare it in your strike, so if you are the acting you have to declare your intention before the other chooses strike, but here it says that you could do it after both vampires choose theirs strikes. ¿What do you think about it? Yes, perfectly viable. (And please turn off your HTML.) During choose strikes, I (actor) choose my strike, and you (defender) choose your strike. The choose strikes phase doesn't immediately end, since there is a gap to play Primal Instincts (I (actor) cancel my (the actor's) strike and pick a new one). In that gap, between you (defender) choosing your strike, and moving out of that phase, you can also play Wolf Claws. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D | ja...@zephyr.org.uk (New e-mail) "Who'd have ever predicted the moment would come when I find myself grateful they've kept women dumb?
