I asked this question earlier, but I wasn't able to read newsgroups in time to see the reply to this question, so here goes again. If a minion in combat has a gun, and uses the maneuver on the gun to go to range, and then uses the gun for his strike, and the opposing minion plays Primal Instincts, does the gun minion get to choose another strike, or does he not get another strike, because he is forced to use the gun for his strike? Perhaps he can throw his gun at the opposing minion for 1R or 2R damage.... (-: Scott Halvorson halv...@cptc.wisc.edu

Overlooked the part of the explanation in the previous thread. Primal Instincts cancels "this minion's" strike - not the opposing minion's strike. If the guy with the .44 maneuvers with the .44 and then plays Primal Instinct, he still has to strike with the .44. [ quoted text not captured ]

If the guy with the .44 maneuvers with the .44 and > then plays Primal Instinct, he still has to strike with the .44. So...to paraphrase (closely) Justin (?) from last time, "The opposing minion is required to read the card again." Minion A maneuvers iwth the .44. Go to strike phase. Minion A shoots with the .44. Minion B plays Primal Instincts, which is *really* useless as the blocking minion (unless used for the dodge...). Minion B has payed 1 blood to re-choose his strike which he has not yet chosen. Use this card if you're the *acting* minion, not the *blocking* minion.
