Some promo cards were released in Scrye and Inquest magazine. Are they common? Will they be included in Sabbat War starters? Or are they exclusive promo cards not available anywhere else? What are all the promo cards printed so far and how can I get them all? Badly need promo cards.

In article <gdN_5.1124$n3.2...@news.globetrotter.net>, [ quoted text not captured ] There are 4 promo cards. Lucita and Sascha Vykos are available in the Sabbat War Lasombra and Tzimsice starters respectively. Mariana Gilbert and Dan Murdock are the others. You can basically find them at any sanctioned V:TES tournament or demo. Don't be fooled. These promo cards are not difficult to obtain. I haven't been playing for long at all, and I already have more than 1 copy of each. Peter Oh > > Badly need promo cards. > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

These promo cards are not difficult to obtain. Hmmmm. I was fooled. I guess it had it to do with never having seen a Mariana Gilbert nor a Dan Murdock card at any tournament or demo I've ever attended. These cards routinely go on EBAY for $10 or more each. I think perhaps you're either behind the times in saying the above or you live in an area that has a leftover supply of them somehow. Everyone should be so lucky. Fred

In article <3A3BD23E...@netcom.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] Hehe maybe... All I know for sure is that at the Sabbat War pre-release event in NJ, they (White-Wolf Reps) were giving away Dan Murdocks and Mariana Gilberts like there was no tomorrow. And most of the players there, declined, saying that they had multiple copies of each. So maybe it is different wherever you are. Pete *still can't believe the story of the Mariana Gilbert that went for $70 bucks on E-Bay* > > Fred [ quoted text not captured ]

In article <91glr0$fk2$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] Well that is in the States...they seem really ultra-rare in Europe. Maybe some princes has them but won't give away? :P ANyway I jsut very recently got hold of Dan Murdock and I still don't have Mariana Gilbert..and out of the 20+ Jyhad people I know in Sweden I am the only one to have any of the two. I've been playing since the Jyhad release as well. If anyone wanna trade a Mariana I'd be more than happy :) Eveyrone seem to say how easy they are ot get hold of, yet nobody ever offers to trade any...hmm? Just look at Succubus..there's 2 ppl who offer Mariana...both from Slovakia (I htink it was) and they're friends. [ quoted text not captured ]

Cantila is right here - in Europe, those two promo cards are comparable to two-headed cows (well, yes, I DO exaggerate here, but let's say almost, ok?). I was more than happy when I obtained 3 (three, my God!) Marianas and a handful of Dans last year in a trade (from Sorrow) - it gave me a way to mak e my playgroup happy way before christmas by giving some of those cards away as presents. Last time this subject about those two promo vamps popped up on this newsgroup, LSJ stated that you could just send a SASE to Wizards of the Coast to get one copy of each for free - as I pointed out in that thread, I (and friends from my playgroup) had tried that before, and I did indeed try it again after thatt thread (using IRCs, of course), only to find out that, as before, WotC obviously did not seem to like being bothered by such requests when they came from overseas. Sad, but true. So the question is: Now that White Wolf has re-acquired the rights to V:tES, what possibilities do we Europeans have do get those cards? -- Hardy Range "O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams." They'd sent copies of Marianna and Dan overseas prior to running out of stock with no problem. > > So the question is: > Now that White Wolf has re-acquired the rights to V:tES, what > possibilities do we Europeans have do get those cards? The situation is unchanged - WotC did not provide any stock of those cards to White Wolf. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Actually, the same thing happened to me - mailing from California. The twist of the knife was when some people posted that they had received theirs after having sent requests in something like 9 months to a year later. WotC is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with for having stuff like that slip through the cracks if you mailed to the wrong "Attn:" at the wrong moment. (I agree that it's unlikely to have anything to do with where the requests originated.) Fred

That seems a bit strange to me. And no wonder WotC ran out of cards whens ending that many cards to one guy! Even though they probably assumed he'd give away to friends....one would think they'd first and foremost tyr accommodate those who directly sent a request for cards (by giving one or two copies). In any case, the cards are definately rare here and *not* common. If any disagree feels free to trade ma Mariana then to prove me wrong! :) So far none has picked up the challenge..wonder why?? > > > > So the question is: > > Now that White Wolf has re-acquired the rights to V:tES, what > > possibilities do we Europeans have do get those cards? > > The situation is unchanged - WotC did not provide any stock of > those cards to White Wolf. > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

In article <91itc5$lk$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] I will certainly trade you all of my Mariana Gilberts and Dan Murdochs for an equal number of Temptation of Greater Power's.
