And another two questions round the use of Anathema. 1. If Anathema triggers, does it trigger immediately, or does the minion suffering from its effect still have the possibility to use Taste of Vitae to avoid being burned? Situation: Minion A has 1 blood and suffers from Anathema Minion B strikes for 1 Minion A strikes for 1 too and wants to play Taste of Vitae to avoid being burned. (We threw a coin and decited that A. triggers immediately) 2. A. triggers if the victim is reduced to 0 blood due to damage of the opposing minion. What happens here? Minion A has 1 blood, a Zip Gun and suffers from Anathema Minion B strikes for 1 Minion A strikes with Zip Gun for 1, thus claiming to reduce his blood to zero by his own damage "before" the other damage. AFAIK regular damage is dealt simultanously in the resolution phase, so it would require a mood (and in fact: it did. We ruled that Anathema triggered, but with a bad feeling). We don't want a mood, we want a ruling. It happens immediately, as indicated on card text. There are no set 'check for death phases', so the check is continuous. > Situation: > Minion A has 1 blood and suffers from Anathema > Minion B strikes for 1 > Minion A strikes for 1 too and wants to play Taste of Vitae to avoid being > burned. > > (We threw a coin and decited that A. triggers immediately) Good coin. > 2.
