Attention V:TES players who plan to attend Gen*Con:
Some of the V:TES events have been incompletely listed in the
Gen*Con Pre-registration booklet (pg 158)
(And note: the Gen*Con Event Charts are somehow differentiating between
"CCGs" and "TCGs". V:TES events are listed under the latter heading.
That little quirk caused a moment of panic for me as I originally
thought that all of the V:TES events had been omitted from the book
:-)
The V:TES Constructed Tournament on Thursday at noon runs for
6.5 hours, as listed, but that does not include time the finals
(unless the preliminary rounds are unusually speedy, of course).
The finals are scheduled for 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Thursday.
Similarly, in the V:TES 2000 U.S. Championships, which begins at noon
on Saturday, the finals are scheduled for 7:00 - 9:00 pm Saturday.
This means that the finals for those two events overlap the events
that Bernie Bersnahan is scheduled to run, despite Bernie's efforts
to avoid conflicts of schedule (which I assume were made after he
was provided with the same incomplete information that appears in
the Gen*Con book). I'll do my best to accomodate any players who
make it to the finals of these events and who also want to
participate in one of Bernie's event.
Similarly, the Sabbat Draft event (Friday 10:00 am) has a final
round scheduled for Friday 7:00 pm - 9:00pm. (Overlaps one of
the V:TES 2-player duel format tournaments, but at least this
overlap was planned.)
