Okay, this may have already been asked. Ritual of the Bitter Rose reads: "This card can be played as a combat card or an action modifier. Each ready vampire you control gains an amount of blood from the blood bank equal to the amount of blood on a vampire being burned either by diablerie or while in combat with this vampire." The only way a vampire can be burned during combat is if that Vampire suffers more Agg damage then it can prevent, correct? And this is because a vampire has no blood on it. Are there other ways of burning a vampire during combat? If not, then would a vampire gain 0 blood from using a Ritual of the Bitter Rose in combat, or the amount of blood on the Vampire prior to combat or something in between? Thanks! Larry

Nope. Amaranth. You can play it right after Amaranth and gain all the blood on the vampire. Matt

In general, without card text, yes. >And this is >because a vampire has no blood on it. Are there other ways of burning >a vampire during combat? Assuming you are playing Ritual of the Bitter Rose as a combat card....when does that happen? Actually during the combat? If so, doesn't that mean you can play...say 4 Ritual of the Bitter Rose at the same time to gain 4X blood? (X=blood on eaten vamp) Since RotBR is a combat card, and has no card text to state that it is limited to once per combat? Aaron

Also works well with decapitate. and possibly some sort of aggravated garotte strike, and then burn the garotte to burn them, and then ritual their bitter rose. salem.

I'am currently playing a Theo Bell deck that uses to play either inferior Burning wrath+amaranth+RotBR or either undead strentgh+Disarm+Amaranth+RotBR. Add a few minion taps/taste of vitae for extra blood pumping. Tom,Mad&Co
