Bonecraft Card Text: Strike: 1 damage Put this card on the opposing minion. The minion with this card has -1 hand damage. (This does not affect the Strike Resolution step this round.) He or she may burn this card by paying 2 blood as a +1 stealth action (S) As above, but the minion with this card has -2 hand damage. The following situation came up in our game. Horatio hit Uriah Winter with Bonecraft (inf), Uriah prevented the damage with Skin of Rock (inf). The opposing Methuselah argued that since she prevented the damage the additional effects of the Bonecraft strike were cancelled also. I argued that they were not cancelled, only the damage was reduced to zero, and that she could only cancel the additional effects of Bonecraft by Dodge or S:CE. Was I right or wrong? I guess that this question applies also to other cards with additional effects to damage like Blood Rage, Blood Fury, Soul Burn (when their damage is prevented by other than fortitude cards) and Fleshcraft? You are right. Damage prevent prevents damage. It does not prevent non-damage effects (like steal blood, destroy weapon, etc.) -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
