Hello,
Just a quick question. How do you report tournaments at this moment?
Do you still mail the archon to Robyn or do you have to use that weird
web form on the even calender? Just wondering since I seem to be
missing some events, and another player who has played in the Dutch
ECQ doesn't have any rating at the moment.
Kind Regards,
Paul Wiggers
Prince of Utrecht, The Netherlands

The "weird web form" (what's so weird about it anyhow?) has always
worked for me perfectly well. It also makes the results appear
in the rankings much faster.
Only, be careful that the data you insert is correct, because you
won't be asked for a confirmation...

Maybe abit off topic but look at this

prince of Utrecht is on it twice :)

Hi Peter,
Paul should write to Robyn
( vtesratings@ [NOSPAM] white-wolf.com )
and ask her to "merge" his two V:EKN numbers
into a single legitimate one.

PS So you won the tournament? With your "signature"
deck? That deck is going to enter the TWDA for
the *third* time if I'm not mistaken... :-)
Yea i won :)
I was actualy planning on playing either followers of Seth or !bru
small cap magnum dogs of war.
But in my late night deck building i found out i was missing several
key cards.

Good questions.
Yes, you use the WEB FORM to enter events. It takes some getting used
to, but most have gotten the hang of it. I will approve them when I
see they're ready.
I will always take the Archon, if sent, and am happy to archive them
for you.
It is no longer mandatory to send Archons in unless they are
Qualifiers for Continental Championship events. It's nice to have
them should something go wrong with the upload. I can then fix the
problems and complete the event. Otherwise, all I can do is remove the
results, hope you see it and either write me about it or try to enter
the results again. I used to write the Organizer, but often there was
no email, or a got a bounce back.
If you look up a player who played in an event and they are not there,
it's very likely that ..... they aren't there. They don't exist.
IN the case of Bart de Nijs, I created an entry for him in the
registry yesterday and you can now see him and his events. I rarely
add new players because of the way the site works: There is only one
person who has access to a player record in the registry and that's
the player. I can't do anything with it once it's been created. I
can alter and edit tournament results, but nothing about the player's
profile.
The organizer of the tournament should make sure his players are a
part of the registry before they enter events. Ask the player to
input his info, or the Organizer can do it before entering an event.
You're duplicates will need to be fixed. I will merge your games and
then ask the Web Master to delete the duplicate record, since I
can't.
QUIRKS:
The site is an American one and doesn't like commas in the VP field.
Use a dot. If you use commas the whole event will miss-fire and it
has to be redone.
After you submit an event, should you see a list of vken numbers and
info that the event has been updated. If you see any other scripting
in there like "Name mismatch", or "Update...etc", or "Insert INFO in to
ratings....". Something very likely has gone wrong. Commas or
punctuation other than a dot in the form, missing fields...... who knows?
Write and tell me what happened. Or better yet. Send me the ARCHON
so I can fix it when I see it's broken.

Some of my players had problems to merge vekn ids with their WW
accounts registered ahead of getting the ids. I cannot help them,
because I cannot register new member with already registered e-mail.
Is there any way to add them to the players registry?
By the way, one more question from my players was if it is possible to
change player's name of already registered player?

Yes. Contact orgplay/at/white-wolf (dot-com) with the appropriate details.

Yes. Same way.
