I first would like to apologise for asking a question that I should know the answer to , but need a response as a matter of record to appease my play group. The situation is that My preditor has the Maddness Net in play and attempts to bleed me at the end of my turn. Can I play reation cards on my turn such as Tellepathic Counter, Deflecton and Wake with Evenings freshness? Pc.

I see this question come up a lot. Even recently,a fairly experienced player in my playgroup was under the same impression as you. >The situation is that My preditor has the Maddness Net in play and >attempts to bleed me at the end of my turn. > >Can I play reation cards on my turn such as Tellepathic Counter, >Deflecton and Wake with Evenings freshness? Yes. What determines who can play action modifiers and who can play reactions is based on the controller of the acting minion (and who the action is directed against). Whose actual turn it is is irrelevant. So if you bleed me during my turn with the Network, you can play stealth cards and bleed modifiers but I can also play intercept cards and Deflect the bleed. Once again, action modifiers and reaction cards are just concerned with who the acting Methusaleh is. On the other hand, Out-of-Turn Masters do care whose turn it is. So if you bleed me during my turn with the Network, I can't play Archon Investigation or Direct Intervention your Conditioning, etc. Halcyan 2

This is covered by section 3.9 of the FAQ, here: http://www.thelasombra.com/vtes_faq.htm >The situation is that My preditor has the Maddness Net in play and >attempts to bleed me at the end of my turn. >Can I play reation cards on my turn such as Tellepathic Counter, >Deflecton and Wake with Evenings freshness? Yes. ------------------------------ 3.9. How does Madness Network work? Madness Network allows Malkavians to take actions during other players' minion phases. It doesn't change any of the rules regarding those actions, though. The acting minion can play an action card [1.6.3.1] and action modifiers [1.6.3.2]. Reaction cards can be played by ready untapped minions in response to "an action taken by another Methuselah's minion" [1.6.3.5] So if a Malkavian acts during another Methuselah's minion phase, the Predator and Prey of the Malkavian may still attempt to block. All minions not belonging to the Malkavian's Methuselah may react to the Malkavian's action including the Methuselah whose actual turn it is. Only Methuselahs can play master cards, and they can play out-of-turn masters only "during another player's turn" [1.6.2.3]
