Let's say I control an Infernal Baali with a Derange played at superior. UNTAP PHASE: 1st.- Giotto Verducci untaps by burning 1 blood (because of the Derange). 2nd.- Giotto Verducci taps, since I do want to burn 1 pool to untap him again. 3rd.- Giotto Verducci untaps again via the Derange's ability. Is this legal?. Should I burn another pool not to tap Giotto Verducci once more? Greetings, Damnans

Yes. The better way to do it would be: 1. Giotto doesn't untap as normal for being deranged. 2. Giotto taps for being infernal. (no effect, since he's already tapped). 3. Giotto pays 1 blood to untap via Derange. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Kindred Society Games Master. Put this card on a ready vampire. -This vampire doesn't untap as normal-. During -his or her controller's- untap phase, that vampire either puts Society Games on a younger tapped vampire or burns 1 blood to untap. -If the vampire choses to move the Society Games but- there is no tapped younger vampire, Society Games is burned.

[LSJ 19970625] template limits that deranged (at superior) infernal to untap just one time during the untap pahse, via the derange? So, the example above should not be legal, if the effects are handled in that sequence. Just my thought Emiliano, vekn Prince of Rome [ quoted text not captured ]

Right. So actually the better way to do it is the only way to do it. Thanks. > > 1. Giotto doesn't untap as normal for being deranged. > > 2. Giotto taps for being infernal.
