Can you place these on uncontrolled vampires? I don't see why not. It gives you something to do on your first turn & it could be used to slow down other players. Nice. The text just says "Vampire". I have to agree with you here Mel. Card wording does not explicitly exclude uncontrolled vampires. I am not sure if there is official errata on this subject. LSJ? adrian...@largotim.co.uk wrote in message <6g2kbs$if5$1...@nnrp1.dejanews.com>... [ quoted text not captured ]

No, I don't think you can play any card on an uncontrolled vampire unless card text specifically states. The first master phase is often a wash unless you play with plenty of non-clan/vampire specific masters. I'm curious, in thinking that you could place it on an uncontrolled vampire, would you increase the vamps cost to bring out?

I think we might have gotten our answer officially from somewhere, but I don't remember. In any case, our rule was that uncontrolled vampires are not actually in play, and so cannot be targeted by anything unless it specifically mentions uncontrolled vamps. -Dave

No. Text must say "uncontrolled vampire" to affect uncontrolled vampires (e.g. Brainwash). Since the discipline cards do not specify uncontrolled vampires are targets, uncontrolled vampires cannot be targets. Similarly, Giant's Blood cannot be used to fill an uncontrolled vampire to capacity. "Controlled" is always the default when dealing with "minion" references. -- L. Anyway, if you can play a master discipline card on a vampire controlled by your predator (for example), why can't you play on a vampire you're "feeding" to control? It's capacity would obviously increase... Is there anything in the official rules that says that you can only play master disciplines on controlled vampires?
