dumb question, really. card text: Blood to Water: Combat, Thaumaturgy, 2 blood Only usable at close range, before strike resolution. Opposing vampire burns 3 blood or opposing ally is burned. Not usable during the first round of combat. (S) As above, but opposing vampire burns 5 blood. from the on-line rulebook: Combat Ends: This effect ends combat immediately. This type of strike is always the first to resolve, even before a strike done with first strike, and ends combat before other strikes can be resolved or any damage dealt. Combat ends is effective at any range. Combat ends is not affected by a dodge, since dodge only cancels effects that are directed at the dodging minion. key phrase is '... ends combat before other strikes can be resolved or any damage dealt.' If you play Blood to Water (which is neither a strike nor a damage effect) and the opposing minion ends combat does he still have to burn the 3/5 blood?

The burning pof blood is done before choose strike step. If you want a nice combo, play with Rebekka (and if possible put Ankara citadel on her). During combat first round play superior majesty, untap, then play Telepathic tracknig for free. Is range is close (80% of the case on 2nd round), play Superior blood to water twice, then superior catatonic fear. Opponents burns 10 blood and takes one unpreventable damage. That should get rid of most vampire. You can play a similar combo with all the tremere having celerity, replace the catatonic by a riposte. it really works ! reyda

[ quoted text not captured ] He burns the 3/5 blood as soon as B2W is played - before the strike (to end combat or otherwise) resolves. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to revised rulebook, rulings, errata, and tournament rules: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/
