When using Flurry of action at superior it states that if the bleed is successful, you can untap. Here is the situation: Ellen Fence taps and uses Flurry of Action at SUP. My prey declines to block, but then decides to play a telepathic counter to reduce the bleed. Can I then use Mask of 1000 faces to have Darrel Boyce tap and resolve the action for a 0 bleed so that Ellen can then untap? Thanks, John Zbyszinski

[ quoted text not captured ] Darrel can play Mask. This taps Darrel and untaps Ellen. Darrel Boyce will then resolve the action and, since the bleed is not successful, Darrel will remain tapped. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I am a bit confused, so please enlighten me by commenting on the following: EXAMPLE: minion A bleeds for 1, minions of methuselah being bled decline to block, minion A says that he doesnot play any additional action modifiers, then minion B plays telepathic counter to reduce the bleed to 0, so far so good. Then, per your previous ruling, minion C can play mask of a thousand faces to resume the bleed, right ? So, can minion C play conditioning for extra +3 bleed after playing mask ? Finaly, if i got this right, it goes like this. minion A bleeds, "defending" minions decline to block, then minion A plays all the action modifiers he wants to play. After this if none of the minions, of methuselah being bled, play a reaction, acting minion doesn't have the right to play any additional action modifiers, but because in this particular case a minion played a reaction (tel.counter) acting minion has the right to respond and play additional action modifiers, like mask of a th.faces or conditioning. right ?

TC is not an "end of the action" thing; it is quite possible to play an, eg, Threats in response to a Telepathic Counter. > EXAMPLE: minion A bleeds for 1, minions of methuselah being bled > decline to block, minion A says that he doesnot play any additional > action modifiers, then minion B plays telepathic counter to reduce the > bleed to 0, so far so good. Yes. If Meth A passes, and all other Meths pass (Meth B does not play Telepathic Counter, etc), Meth A does not get another chance to play cards. --Colin McGuigan

Minion A can do so before the Mask is played by Minion C, Minion C can do so after. (Minion C cannot play Conditioning after Minion A has because of the restriction text on Conditioning of playing further bleed modifiers. Both minions _could_ play superior Command of the Beast, though.) Minion B, the reacting minion, is of course prohibited from playing Conditioning on someone else's action. :P -John Flournoy

> (In fact, Mask allows both minions A and B to play Conditioning...) You can't play two Conditionings on the same action due to card text on Conditioning. But you could play, say, two Command of the Beast at superior if you had a Mask of 1K in between. The restriction on action modifiers is: one of a given action modifier per action per minion. Ira

So, they can both play Lost in Crowds for +5 stealth with one masking, but they can't play one conditioning each.

</very evil grin> I like that. I really, really like that. It makes CEL obf an increasingly interesting combination of disciplines. I think I know a certain cadre of assassins who would really enjoy knowing this. Yes, yes indeed.
