Heidelburg Q

Can you transfer retainers or equipment to a vampire who cannot have brought them into play? It doesn't say that there are any consequences to this and I've never read a ruling stating that the retainer/equipment wouldn't work unless otherwise specified by card text. For example: I bring a Raptor into play using a minion with Superior Animalism. If I tap the Heidelburg to move it to a minion without superior animalism, is the hand size effect in combat still applicable? I would think so as the card was brought into play using the superior discipline. What if I tap the Heidelburg to move the Raptor to a minion without Animalism? Will that minion get +1 intercept with it if they attempt to block an action? Thanks in advance.
