When a Vampire calls a vote. The vampire get one vote from the card. Does this vote count toward the one vote for a card, or can the player then play another vote card for a vote? Walter Denny "Nothings Trivial" -The Crow

The political action they call, if it is frmo a political action card in their hand, counts as the "one vote" you are allowed to generate from political action cards. So, if I call Praxis Seizure: Barcelona, it generates the one vote I am allowed to get from political action cards. So I can't play one from my hand. If, however, I was calling the vote to burn Elysium: The Arboretum, since that doesn't supply a vote by way of a political action card, I could play one from my hand. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "I know my ex-boyfriend lies. Question :- Can a Camarilla vampire vote in a vote called by a Sabbat vampire (and vice versa), or are the two separate? The rules are not at all clear on this matter - I'd appreciate any answers you might have. Thanks, Looneychoonz

Yes, not separate. > The rules are not at all clear on this matter - I'd appreciate any answers > you might have. The rules are clear: 6.3.3. lists methods of gaining votes, none of which (including votes from vampires) are limited by the sect of the acting vampire (if any). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. However, the original poster may appreciate having it pointed out that there are a couple of cards where they cannot, when those cards are played. Closed Session limits the vote (which would be called by a Camarilla vampire, since it rquires specific titles) to solely Camarilla vampires. It is a card with potentially high use, which I have not seena lot of people using. Something to consider, I feel. One or two votes in The Sabbat set also note that only Sabbat vampires may vote in that referendum. I believe that Cardinal Benediction has such text. [ quoted text not captured ]

What about the corner case where non-aligned vampires call and win a Praxis Seizure? For example, Carlotta Giovanni gets named Prince of Venice through Praxis Seizure: Venice. On a subsequent political action, it seems she could play Closed Session, although it would also seem to prevent her from voting. Is this correct? -T [ quoted text not captured ] -- S'io credesse che mia risposta fosse a persona che mai tornasse al mondo, questa fiamma staria senza piu scosse. Rulebook, section 10: A vampire must belong to the appropriate sect to receive a title. Only Camarilla vampires can become Primogen, Princes, Justicars, or Inner Circle members. So then why were cards like Praxis Seizure: Venice created? It gives extra votes to Giovannis. Is the idea that Giovannis make being Prince of Venice more difficult? [ quoted text not captured ] -- [ quoted text not captured ]

Is the idea that Giovannis make being Prince > of Venice more difficult? Yes, the card was made that way for canon: in the White Wolf WoD (World of Darkness) settings for vampires, Giovanni clan is the absolute (independent) ruler of Venice; so the Giovanni must have a strong foot even in Camarilla politics if it involves Venice. The same card's idea should be applied in a would be "Sabbat" Crusade:Venice card.
