Amelia special ability question?

Hi, I would like to know about the special ability of Amelia, The blood red tears: "After combat with Amelia, the opposing minion burns 1 blood or life." If Amelia goes to torpor in a combat, does the opposing minion burn 1 blood? Does the special ability is still valid? Thanks! Nicolas Savard
