[lsj] Mind of a Killer obvious question

Hi - Mind of a Killer [KMW:R] Cardtype: Action Discipline: Dementation +1 stealth action. [dem] (D) Put this card on a ready minion. This minion gets +1 strength. *a* Burn this card when a combat involving this minion ends. *b* During this minion's discard phase, burn this card, and this minion's controller must inflict 2 damage on another ready minion he or she controls. [DEM] As above, and tap this minion when this card is burned. There are two conditions, *a* and *b*, which can cause this card to burn. I am wondering if the inflicting of 2 damage only happens if the card burns due to condition *b*? In other words, if this minion gets into combat before it's discard phase, it won't have to inflict 2 damage on another ready minion? I.e. Anatole gets Mind of Killer, freak drives, then rushes someone with +1 strength. best - chris -- chris shorb
