Sorry for the long subject.
Can I bleed someone other than my prey used a D (direct) bleed card
(i.e. computer hacking, night moves, scouting mission, govern the
unaligned, etc.)?
In the group I play with one of the players believes that the D symbol
only means that the bleed is directed to the prey.
I believe that it allows you to bleed anyone except with night moves
(predator or prey only).
Please help!!
Thanks Larry

You愉e right. a "normal" bleed action (without playing an action card)
only affects your prey (it愀 a D-bleed against your prey).
That愀 what it makes real fun to bleed your predator or someone else with
e.g. Computer Hacking.

A card with a (D) symbol on it can be directed at anyone, unless
specifically mentioned on card text that it can't or that you're doing a
(D) action against someone to burn a card (eg I play a Haven Uncovered
on your copy of Leandro - the (D) action she takes to burn it would be
against me).
Wit hregards to bleeds, the only times when you are forced to bleed to
your prey during a bleed is:
1) When you are bleeding without a card - the default bleed
2) When you are bleeding with a card that specifically requires you to
bleed to your prey
So, yes, if I play Computer Hacking, I can bleed *anyone* on the table
except myself (because the only (D) action directable at yourself is
Rampage).
Is this stupid? No, not really. In all likelihood, you'll *want* to
bleed your prey. You get victory points and pool for ousting him, not
for ousting someone across the table. If you are helping to oust
someone across the table, there is probably a reason for it - eg he's
too powerful for the rest of the table unless they work together (eg
he's whacking you all with powerful votes you can't stop). Getting rid
of him helps you in other ways. It also gives bleed decks a good way of
expressing their annoyance. A vote deck would just allocate some KRC to
someone else. A rush deck would damage a vampire or two. A bleed deck
can just do enough bleed to let the annoying person how much what
they're doing really annoys them.

I shall personally come around to your houses and drag you out by the scruff of
the neck. I shall belt you around the mouth and mouth you around the belt. Do
you understand what I'm saying?

No need to apologize for being clear - you may actually be saving
someone time. A long subject is better than a "Subject: Questions".

The (D) symbol has been errata'ed/ruled/whatever to impart the ability
to direct the action at any appropriate target ("Appropriate" being
extended to "any other methuselah" in the case of a bleed).
So, with that ruling/errata a player may bleed any other player with
a card like Computer Hacking.
