Now that the previews are done and the set is about to come out in a few
days, what comes next? I smell Kindred of the East. Any thoughts on what
might come out?

My thought is that you're being veeeery impatient to want details of a
new set before this one is even on the shelves yet. :P

Something nine months later. (giving birth to new vampiric expansions?)
Its release will be in November, so I'm hoping a new base set, just in
time to hook people so they can ask their family/friends for cards in
december.
However, I think a new base set, should it happen, probably will not
happen until G4 is full, which probably won't be until August 2006 (for
the theoretical G5 filled base set in May 2007).

Urm, I smell someone who's got his hands on a starter already... ;)
So does that look like Bloodlines 2 to U ?
Dunno why, I think we're going to get some starter spoilers very, very
soon...

Glad to know. Now that we're all burned out with KMW, knowing about
the upcoming Legacies of Blood exp. is a refreshing bit of news.
(5 minutes later...)
Ok, I'm tired of hearing about Legacies of Blood. What's the next
expansion after that?

Yeah, I've always wondered about vampires in space... so much new
material that could be covered... alas, a new WoD...

Oh please, please, please let it be the Bollywood version!

In space? You're mistaken. This is the gay porn expansion, that focuses
on hot vampire-on-deity action.

YEEBAH !!!
Let's just hope we see some G3 there...
Oh, and BTW, for the african Lasombra, maybe Myth instead of Obt ?

Never mind. The more LSJ plays around with stupid other clans (SOCs),
the less likely we'll be to see G5, so... update my prediction for G5
(and the base set that will most likly accompany it) to be around Feb.
2008.
Christ... is there even DEMAND for African SOCS?

I'm in. Ebony Kingdom rocks.
Their NOSFERATU bloodline rules there.
The Ventrue (western ones) never had the grasp there.
The Ravnos bloodline are traders, not con artists.
The Brujah Bloodline have auspex.
The Toreador Bloodline have fortitude.
There's still Cappadocians and Salubri there.
[swap "Bloodline" for "Legacy", I've used it for the sake of clarity]

I didn't really mean will it be interesting to VTES players. I was more
interested in if the whole African vampire thing will sell to others. I
mean, people still like Old WoD, but do they like Old WoD w/ african
legacies? Did Kindred of Africa sell that well? Was/Is is that popular?

No, I don't think it was. But in VTES it does offer new strategies
without having to immerse yourself in a completely different culture :
easier for players than for gamemasters !!
And I do like the idea of more dark faces than the hollywoodian quotas.
I'm a black myself, although I hide under a white skin. Or, wait, wasn't
I indian ? Well, I guess it depends on the incarnation...

Oh, you say the "marketing for new players" issue?
Well, I guess that once in a while you'd have to make a set that has
its appeal to the existing players more than it is for new ones.
If I'm going the wrong route... Well, I liked what I was told about
the book. I was not talking through the V:tES perspective. New
creatures for the old setting always caught my attention. Can't tell
if it was popular or not.

Remember that retail presence is a good thing. If new product is not
on the shelves at regular intervals, casual buyers question the success
and lifespan of the CCG. I hardly feel that we are being flooded with
sets.

Where do I place my pre-order?

I agree especially if you compare to games like the Vs. system where
expeansions seem to come out every 3months or so
Piers
The symbol on the back of the page with the ad for Legacies of the Blood
certainly looks like the one from the cover of Kindred of the Ebony Kingdom.
It does look like a set based on that, though I also have hopes that it will
be the second Bloodlines expansion as well.
