It's my understanding that cards cannot be played during bloodhunt votes. Can the player with the edge burn it to gain a vote? Is there anything else that can affect the outcome? While action modifiers and reaction cards cannot be played during a bloodhunt referendum (since there is no action to modify or react to), other effects can be used (subject to card text) - each Methuselah can burn one Political Action card to gain a vote, the Edge can be burned for a vote, ready titled vampires provide their votes, Ventrue Headquarters can be tapped for three votes, etc. Note that cards that say "during a political action" cannot be used, since the bloodhunt is not a political action. -- L. I think you made a mistake, Ventrue HQ has also the "during a political action" text. Hmm. Not the copies I've seen, nor according to the WotC spoiler list. But, either way. If it does restrict itself to political actions, then it cannot be used in non-political-actions (like Blood Hunts). If it has no such restriction, then it can be. -- L. Ventrue Headquarters does not have any such text. Card Title: Ventrue Headquarters Pool: 1 pool Clan/Discip.: Ventrue Card Type: Master Card Text: Master: unique location Tap to gain 3 votes. -- "The time for action is past! But it may be that my boss would be somewhat alienated... Anyway, I know that the Jyhad version had no "during...", but I thought that the VTES card had. My mistake. All other permanent cards that give votes state the "during..." clause. IMO Ventrue HQ should fall in line. Carl [ quoted text not captured ]

All other permanent cards that >give votes state the "during..." clause. IMO Ventrue HQ should fall in line. I disagree. It's an unnecessary change, since it's difficult for the Ventrue to abuse it. They rarely diablerise other vampires themselves, since they aren't so hot in combat, so it's difficult for them to pro-actively abuse the card. They can use it as a clever bartering tool during votes, too. Other clans with such cards *tend* to be fairly good in combat eg the Mausoleum, Potence Dominate Giovanni - Oxford University, Brujah and so forth. The change isn't really warranted, and change for change's sake is not good. -- James Coupe (Prince of Mercia, England) Vampire: Elder Kindred Network http://madnessnetwork.hexagon.net http://www.obeah.demon.co.uk
