My cousin insist that your only allowed one master card action total but i almost certain that the rules say you are only allowed to play one master card but ones that you already have out like hunting ground cards etc you can tap as many as you want. The only one i think were you tap and thats all you get is the short term investment one. 2nd question if i bleed and my prey announce that his vampire blocks which to block you have to tap right and then i play a modifer to increase my stealth and he cant increase his intercept doesnt his vampire stayed taped or does he just announce his vampire blocks but doesnt tap untill its succesful? Also when is Wizard going to bring out more expansion decks a Vampire hunter and Ghoul deck would be nice. No?

There are some more cards like short term investment where you are not allowed to play mastercards when you use them but that is clearly stated on the cards.(the only one I can think of at the moment is protracted investment). Remember however that if you play out of turn master cards, like sudden reversal, this forfeits your next master phase action. > > > 2nd question if i bleed and my prey announce that his vampire blocks which to > block you have to tap right and then i play a modifer to increase my stealth > and he cant increase his intercept doesnt his vampire stayed taped or does he > just announce his vampire blocks but doesnt tap untill its succesful? A minion taps when he blocks, but if he cant play enough intercept to match up to your stelth his vampire is untapped again. The only way you can prevent this is to play a card that states he cant untap (e.g. superior Faceless night). > > > Also when is Wizard going to bring out more expansion decks a Vampire hunter > and Ghoul deck would be nice. No? From the discussions on this NG it seems that VoTC are not planning any more expansions, which is a pity. TG

Using a card in play (including a master card) doesn't require spending a Master Phase Action. Using a master card in play doesn't require tapping that master card. (Add "unless otherwise noted on card text" to each sentence above). The blocking minion isn't tapped until the block is successful. [Rulebook: section 18.2] > Also when is Wizard going to bring out more expansion decks a Vampire hunter > and Ghoul deck would be nice. No? No more expansions are currently planned. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. (*) - Subject to review by Rules Team

The way your master phase goes is this, basically: You have ONE master phase action by default unless you use a card like The Parthenon, Anson or Rumors of Gehenna. With your ONE master phase action you can take ONE master phase action. Playing a master card is a master phase action. Also, using a Short Term Investment is a master phase action. However, using a Blood Doll ISN'T a master phase action because it simply says "during your master phase". A card has to specifically state that it costs a master phase action to work for it to replace your one playable master card. Another example, other than the various Investment style cards (Short Term, Protracted and others), is Strained Vitae Supply which you can get rid of using your pool which you put on it as a Master Phase Action. You are also confused about how Hunting Ground cards work. You play them during your master phase as a master phase action but they work during your untap phase. This includes all of them, even a few which are printed incorrectly (the Tremere (Circle with a Triangle symbol) have an incorrect Academic Hunting Ground) and you don't have to tap them. But you only have to tap a master card if it says to, and there is no such text on a Hunting Ground card. >2nd question if i bleed and my prey announce that his vampire blocks which to >block you have to tap right and then i play a modifer to increase my stealth >and he cant increase his intercept doesnt his vampire stayed taped or does he >just announce his vampire blocks but doesnt tap untill its succesful? > He doesn't tap until it is successful. People often tap them as a convention just to indicate who is blocking but technically they don't tap, otherwise you'd never be able to play any intercept reaction cards (because you would be tapped). >Also when is Wizard going to bring out more expansion decks a Vampire hunter >and Ghoul deck would be nice. No? It's going to be difficult to convince them to release any more unless their profits go up from V:TES (so keep buying the cards that are there already and just tell yourself it's for the general good). There already are enough cards to make a Vampire hunter type deck because you have all of the allies. Muddled Vampire Hunter with a Sengir Dagger, Renegade Garou with one (using it on his second strike), Order of Hermes Cabal (1R agg damage anyway) and so on do pretty well. But the thing that most people want to see added are the "missing" Sabbat clans - the Ravnos antitribu, Assamite antitribu and Serpents of the Light, together with more Giovanni (not antitribu) and all of the clans from the expansions (Lasombra, Tzimisce, Ravnos, Assamites, Giovanni, Followers of Set) to make them playable. In fact, there's a mailing list for exactly that purpose, dedicated to making cards for use on Jyhad On-Line. -- James Coupe (remove your inhibitions to reply) If I jumped I should not see the stones rise up to meet me, the fog would hide them from me. The pain would be sharp and sudden as she said. The fall would break my neck. It would not be slow, like drowning. It would soon be over.

Justin Fang's e-mail address (I won't put it here so he doesn't get buckets of spam), links to the states of playtest games, card lists for the new cards (with texts etc), discipline match list (for all, including new, vamps) and so on. People argue over the cards and suggest new ones on a mailing list run by Justin Fang (so e-mail him if you want to join). The aim is to get them into a state where they can be put forward as JOL's own cards which anyone can use and (the following is a pipe dream) get some form of official recognition from Wizards if they can't be bothered to print a new expansion. If you want details on Jyhad On-Line, go to http://deckserver.net Follow the link to Jyhad On-Line and then you can see house rules, deckserver commands and the like. All the cards in your deck are held at the "deckserver" which you access with e-mail commands and basically you play a game of Jyhad by e-mail (and they can be surprisingly quick - one of them ones I'm on at the moment is just on its ninth time round the table and two players just fell, one after the other (to a bleed and having to *put* a pool on Smiling Jack, not burn pool for him)). You can see the game states and histories by clicking on the links to JOLXX, PlaytestX, JOLTXX (the tournament) or whatever. If you can get access to e-mail a couple of times a day (or just think, well, this isn't going to bother me at the moment so I'll only go on once a day at the moment and wait for stuff to affect me (eg my predator's turn) before I carry on). Normal Jyhad On-Line, using the actual printed cards, has 8 players on a table (so Conservative Agitation can be very useful ;). The Playtest games (run (moderated) by people who are on the playtest list) normally have 6 players but there is an 8 player game about to start (Chris Berger) and a four player one will be got ready in a couple of weeks (run by, er, me). Actually, I don't care about posting my address in public--I put it in my .sig. If spam gets to be a problem I can filter it out. I can't filter mail to the mailing list as easily, though, which is why that doesn't get posted publically. >People argue over the cards and suggest new ones on a mailing list run >by Justin Fang (so e-mail him if you want to join).
