The "+1 intercept' on the Sport Bike is (wrongfully, IMHO) ruled to be
optional. The is the only example of optional intercept. The idea
is that since weapons are inherently optional, that all equipment is
optional.
The "Optional Press once per Turn" on the Hawg is optional (correctly
ruled, due to card text and the nature of presses, IMHO).

there is nothing about a press on the sport bike but on the hawg there is
and it is a mandatory press not optional.

Peace Joe,
True and false. The Hawg, not the Sport Bike, provides an OPTIONAL press
once per game turn.

I believe that it is optional.

I think somebody from customer service should read Conquer the Beast,
whose superior text includes "as above, except the press is optional".

Well, a few days ago, I was playing Jyhad in my group and someone of
Wizards of the Coast's costumer-service was sitting there and he said
ALL presses are considered OPTIONAL, including the HAWG.
After all, when you've got a motercycle, you can normally choose to
either ride away from your 'prey'(end combat) or pursue your 'prey',
isn't it?
I hope this helps.

If not Conquer the Beast, then definately Trap. It says that combat
automatically has a press to continue combat, for three rounds past the last
card being played. Of course, if you have another press, you can cancel out
the trap's press.. but usually a person that throws down a trap card
typically has presses of his own (to continue combat).

Yes, I think you're right, so maybe it's better to ask it to Wizards
of the Coast themselves ...

Hi Curt,
So, uh, who gets to decide on the "optional" press for trap?

Actually, it's a HAWG you're thinking of...not a sports bike. And while
it's not specifically stated as optional, it just HAS to be. Where's the
logic of "Well, you've got a Harley now so you have to keep flinging
yourself into combat now." <g>

There was a DTR a while ago stating that using equipment is always
optional, while "using" retainers never is.
So, you might use your Hawg or not, but your Murder of Crows, e.g.,
will do their damage. Even if your acting minion dodges, btw.
