Hey Scott, Just curious if it is possible for Hunger Moon and Foul Blood to interact in such a way that a vamp with 1 blood on it goes to torpor? Hunger Moon (Event) ---------------------------------- Transient. Whenever a vampire successully hunts, move 1 blood from that vampire to this card. Burn this card when it has five counters. Foul Blood (Reaction/qui-QUI) Cost: 1 blood ---------------------------------------------- Only usable when a vampire successfully hunts. (qui) The acting vampire gains 1 less blood and takes 1 unpreventable damage. Tap this reacting vampire. (QUI) As above, but do not tap this reacting vampire. My thought: A vamp with 1 blood declares a hunt action. No one declares a block, thereby making the hunt "Successful". At this point, Player B can ask Player A to move 1 blood (already on the vamp) from Vamp A to Hunger Moon, and then plays Foul Blood, causing the hunt to generate 1 less blood and inflict 1 damage, sending Vamp A to torpor. Or is this totally wrong? Can Player A, when Foul Blood is played: 1.) Hunt and move 1 blood on to Vamp A 2.) Move the just-gained blood to Hunger Moon 3.) claim that "the 1 less blood" provision doesn't work because the blood is already gone (similar to a "burn 1 blood provision upon a vampire with 0 blood on it) 4.) Take 1 damage, removing the blood counter it already had, leaving it at 0 blood, but NOT in torpor. Just confused how these 2 cards should interact. Thanks! -Asif Chaudhry

No. Foul Blood is played before the vampire gains the blood form the hunt (otherwise it could not modify the amount gained). Hunger Moon's effect is applied after the vampire gains blood from the hunt. A: Vampire Bob (with 1 blood) hunts (for 1). Table: no block. A: The hunt is successful (reaches for a blood from the bank) B: Wait. Foul Blood. Bob gains 1 fewer blood from the hunt and takes 1 damage. A: OK. The hunt is not successful* and Bob heals the damage (burning 1 blood). Since the hunt is not successful, Hunger Moon's effect no longer applies (although if it did, it would not have any effect, since Bob has no blood to move to the event). * http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/f280c5c520c84adc > My thought: A vamp with 1 blood declares a hunt action. It isn't that it is similar to burning blood on an empty vampire. [ quoted text not captured ]

Peter, don't worry. My jank-tastic decks never win. Of course, if you're sitting next to me, you might not like the smoking hole effect this deck generates, but if you are cross table, you'll be pure gold! :)
