Contesting Your Own

I presume that you can contest a card you already have in play. The rules state "You can't bring more than one of the same unique card into your controlled region without contesting it yourself." So let's say I have multiple copies of the same weenie vampire in my crypt. One of these is controlled but is now in torpor, no blood. Could I activate (move into my controlled area) that same vampire (who would come in, of course, contested)? Then, during my next untap phase, I could yield the torporized vampire and voila! ready to go. Would this work?? Turn 2: Yield one of them, continue to contest the other (pay 1 pool) Turn 3: The other vampire becomes uncontested, available for use. -- James Coupe

In addition, you would not get the use of the previously contested vamp that turn, since you gain control of previously contested vamps at the _beginning_ of the untap.
