No. The DT hasn't discussed this, so you'll have to make due with the
rules. :-(

The only attacks that aren't negated by dodge are the ones that are
directed at your retainers. (Or non-offensive strikes like Combat Ends),
So you can protect your equipment by dodging - even when the destroy attempt
is at first strike.

Currently dodge negates effects on the dodging minion, and I would say
that includes effects on its equipment.

Some people say you can't dodge attack at you weapon , .. so a dodge
does not cancel a "first strike : steal ( Destroy weap) .
