"Canceled" doesn't mean "never happened". It's more like "irrevocably
terminated".

So it seems clear - since NRA would kick in - that the action has
resolved (rather than vanishing backwards), it's just completed in a
non-standard fashion. (NRA works on minions when the action resolves,
you see, per Mask of a Thousand Faces et al.)
So Siren's Lure would work.
