Hi !
Is Pulled Fangs' damage preventable ?
Is Concealed Weapons skill-less at tournaments ?
Is the damage inflicted by Daring the Dawn superior preventable ? (which
would make it signifcantly inferior to Day Operation)
Has Rev. Blackwood got +1 damage with all th-strikes (even steal blood
etc.) ?
Thanks, Thomas

Yes. Note that you cannot play damage prevention cards except during
strike resolution, however, so your options for prevnting the damage
are usualy limited.

No.

No.

Only damage-dealing strikes can deal damage. Adding damage to a
non-damage- dealing strike (like steal blood) has no effect.

Yes. But since the damage is not dealt in the normal way in
the damage resolution phase, it is not prevented in the normal
way. You can not play normal damage prevention cards. You can
play Skin of Night to make the damage non-aggravated. A previously
played Flesh of Marble would affect the damage. And an unused
Flak Jacket could prevent the damage.

No. The card is the poster-child for wallpaper.

No it is not preventable. But I would like to say that it has some
advantages.
It can be used when you are at 0 blood. Dawn Op can not. It will burn
your
vampire but with Return to Innocence, that is not an issue.
Certain vampires (Merril) and cards (Heart of Darkness) convert
aggravated
damage to normal damage and would apply. If you have set up such a
situation,
then you can abuse Daring the Dawn. And isn't that what makes this game
fun,
setting up useful combinations?

No. The strike must deal damage in order to get the bonus.

They wouldn't need intercept unless you had stealth but...
If you block a bum's rush (or an ambush) the resulting combat does not
have a maneuver (you planned the maneuver for against Sheldon, Lord of
the Clog, but now you're fighting Sebastian Marley it's a different
kettle of fish and all).
Ways around this -
1) stealth the rush (Protean - Earth Control, Obfuscate - all the cards
(almost), Assorted bits and pieces from other disciplines)
2) rush when they're tapped out (and hope they can't wake)

Oops. Using Flak Jacket is optional?

Yeah, but I see a weakness in Bum's Rush (not much, if you just want to
get into combat with the guy you are Rushing) if the Vampire you are
rushing is untapped and just blocks to take away your maneuver.
It's all just a little odd.

A little odd, but consistent with the rules. Anyway, it can actually
help you if you want that vamp tapped out for a huge bleed that you've
got stored up in your hand and can afford a combat at close range.

Silly me, I don't think it should be.

Yep - it was. You now *may* rush someone, rather than actually have to.

Oh, I dunno. If your only means of proving you're a member of the
Camarilla is by showing a piece of paper when people want to beat the
crap out of you, I don't see why a vampire shouldn't just be able to
'forget' to have it on them.
> Incriminating Videotape...
Yeah, I see this one. You can't really convince someone "Oh, I honestly
won't show this picture of you plotting with the Sabbat to the Prince"
can you?
LSJ? Help!

Right. TC's card text causes an effect "if the bearer is ready" -
it isn't something that simply modifies the minion.
(OK, I'm stretching for explanation here - that's what I have
to work with).
> And, there are some "permanent effect" pieces of equipment, which I'd say are

Writ is optional, since it just modifies the minion.
Videotape, I guess, is not optional, since it isn't modifying
the minion (to be consistent with TC). (*)
